Heartsaver CPR & First Aid Classes

Bayshore Fire Rescue has certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructors for the American Heart Association (AHA). Courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation are taught to the community through private classes which can be arranged with advanced notice.

Students are taught how the EMS system works and to recognize stroke, angina, heart attack and cardiac arrest. Techniques for CPR for adults, children and infants along with treatment of choking victims are also taught.

Students receive a two-year CPR card from the American Heart Association. A fee of $50 per person is required to cover the cost of the instructor, and student manual.

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to schedule classes for their staff and employees, especially those that have regular contact with the public.
