While the Bayshore Rescue’s Christmas Dinner with Santa was unforeseeably cancelled, Food was still prepared and delivered with gifts for all the children; and was only possible with the help and generosity of:

More than 25 years ago, when Bayshore Fire Rescue was exclusively a volunteer fire department they saw a need within their community to help less fortunate families provide Christmas for their children. They would drive around the community with Santa on the fire truck delivering Christmas presents to the children. In those days the efforts were focused on the area known as Seminole Campground as that was the area of greatest concentration of families in need. Today’s efforts are focused on providing Christmas gifts for underprivileged children to open on Christmas and food gifts to help sustain the families.

The name has since been changed to Bayshore Rescues Christmas, but Bayshore Fire Rescue couldn’t do it without the help of some very generous supporters located around Lee County.
